to fit with the Earth Sustainability course schedule.

The Earth Sustainability course series is an innovative option in the Curriculum for Liberal Education (CLE).  It is part of the newly emerging Living in the 21st Century program, which is designed to integrate the goals of the university’s Curriculum for Liberal Education in an interdisciplinary theme-based learning experience offered over two years.

The Earth Sustainability (ES) pilot series debuted successfully in fall 2004. In 2008 we will welcome our third cohort of approximately 150 students who will work together as a group and in learning communities of 25-30 students, each facilitated by a faculty member.

The program offers small-group active learning, field trips, renowned guest speakers from within and outside the campus community, and meaningful skill-building opportunities that prepare students for complex interdisciplinary challenges. Learn more about what ES can offer you!
