FAQs Brochures Student Perspectives Topics schedule About the Program

All Earth Sustainability (ES) sections meet at the same time all four semesters:

  • Lecture: Full Group Meetings
Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 to 1:45
  • Discussion: Small Group Meetings
Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00, 3:30 or 5:00
  • Lab: Workshop/Fieldtrip times
Alternate (every other) Fridays, 12:20 to 3:20 rotating with optional project support sessions.

We meet first as a large group on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:45 PM. This time is typically allocated for a lecture given by distinguished faculty and guests from both on and off campus. Then each of the small group learning communities (25-30 students) meets for an additional 75 minute period on Tuesdays and Thursdays for discussion and activities with their section instructor.  Every other Friday from 12:20 to 3:20 PM, groups will meet for labs, field trips, and other class events. Alternate Fridays can be used to meet with instructors, project groups, or classmates.

If selected to participate in the program, we will register you for both UCCS 2984 (4 credits) and MATH 2984 (1 credit). Engineering students, due to college requirements, will not be registered for MATH 2984.

You may discover that UCCS 2984 and MATH 2984 can only be added by ES staff and cannot be added directly by students or advisors.
